Jacob or the Submission, by Eugène Ionesco

Director and Dramaturgy – Vassilis Oikonomou

The Romanian playwright, one of the main representatives of the Theatre of the Absurd, with this play (written in 1955) mimics situations while depicting the loneliness of modern man and the insignificance of his existence as he emphasizes the weakness and futility of communication with one surreal and comedic way.

The play was a great success and was staged in several local Festivals and toured Greece.
